I think its just poor documentation. It would be curious behavior to bypass the Trash feature during Cleanup.

Topic: Archive/Periodic Cleanup and IDrive Trash

Message: Throughout IDrive's FAQ and tutorial about Archive/Periodic Cleanup, it states that any files deleted via these procedures are permanently deleted. But then I gave it a shot and found that such deleted files actually landed in IDrive's Trash where they seem to stay for 30 days. Or so it seems.I asked this via their online Chat and was told that, no, the files are actually permanently deleted. But then, after I used it and found said files in Trash, I asked again, and a different support person said, yes, these procedures do send such files to Trash for 30 days before permanent removal. So, is IDrive just really bad in their online FAQ documents & tutorials or is this something they recently changed? I want to use the Periodic Cleanup to keep my IDrive archive in relative close sync to my local storage just in case I ever have to do a full restore. But I want to be confident that I will always have up to 30 days to restore anything that I (or my family members) accidentally delete. I just want a bit more confidence that this is how IDrive is intended to work. Any insight is appreciated.
