<description>Topic: Newbie USB drive question

Message: If you have Continuous Data Protection turned on, it should hoover up new and changed files (under 500MB) as you go.Scheduled backups will only run at the scheduled time; If the drive isn't available at that time the backup will be skipped and re-scheduled.

<description>Topic: Newbie USB drive question

Message: Thanks for letting me know - in the future do I have to remember to&#160; manually back up after I remove the hard drive? I was hoping that when the external drive was plugged into the USB port IDrive would automatically start backing it up.

Message: It's probably skipping over files and doing incrementals on changed files.Let in run and you'll probably notice it jump forward in percent complete.

<description>Topic: Newbie USB drive question

Message: Hi I bought IDrive in order to back up files that I keep on an external USB drive. I work at home and from a studio, and keep my work on this drive in order to move between the two places. I'm doing all the back ups on my home computer. There is about 1TB of data on the drive and I'm planning on backing it up slowly over a long period at night. The USB drive isn't always connected to my home computer and this seems to have confused IDrive - this morning it looks to have started backing up everything again (it is showing 0% backed up) but that there is 135GB of data on the drive. The drive letter is always the same (x: )Any thoughts?
