Topic: Question regarding IDrive functionality vs OneDrive

Message: They have Cloud Drive (formerly IDrive Sync). I believe this always keeps a local copy on any computer that is sync'd to it.

Topic: Question regarding IDrive functionality vs OneDrive

Message: So, I've been a fan of OneDrive until recently. I work from home, and am constantly downloading and working with HUGE csv and excel files. I would save and keep all of those in my OneDrive folder and subfolders. This let me both keep them backed up AND keep them from taking up space on my computer when I wasn't using them. For those that are unfamiliar, OD has a "Free Up Space" option. What this does is it removes everything from the files in OneDrive except the file names and the link to the cloud. So they still show up on your computer just as if they were actually there, just with an icon next to them indicating that they are actually on the cloud. If you go to open or move the files, OneDrive downloads them again at that time. This let me keep my work files from slowly consuming my hard drive space.Well, recently the "Free Up Space" option just stopped working. It's always greyed out unless I am trying to use it for one file at a time (which isn't remotely practical). I've looked around on the internet for solutions, tried uninstalling/reinstalling, and a bunch of other things and nothing has worked.SO, I am looking for a program that functions like OneDrive, in particular with the functionality I described above, and was wondering if IDrive is such a program. Many thanks for your time.
