CrashPlan vs IDrive cloud space used

I asked Does IDrive compress the files for the backup archive? in the IDrive section (https://backupforum.progf....php?id=140).  @SteveA helpfully ran a test that demonstrates that they likely DO compress the file during uploading, but they apparently use the actual file size against your quota.

Here is data from my existing CrashPlan backup:

Number of computers: 2
Total native file size (both computers): 4.1TB
Total size of CrashPlan cloud archive:  2.1TB

This is the combined effect of de-duplication and compression. Of course, as an unlimited service, they are not self-motivated to keep the archive (apparently) as large as possible.
