Ransomware protection

I've been backing up to  the cloud for  a while. I'm now trying to make sure I am protected from a ransomware attack.

I guess that regular backups to IDrive protect you from ransomware after a fashion, but only if you notice the attack in time.

If your files have been overwritten 10 times on the backup, they'll all be encrypted versions.
