Is IDrive desktop app supposed to automatically update versions?

Under Settings > More I have "Update software automatically" enabled, but I'm running version 6.7.x.xx right now which doesn't appear to be the latest version. Downloading/installing the current version is easy enough, but wondering if this works for anyone else or if I'm missing something?

I don't think its ever worked reliably.

I prefer to choose if and when I want to update the software. Its not unheard of for IDrive to release a broken update!
